September 2, 2006 - Actor Orlando Bloom turned down the offer for a role in the new Knight Rider movie. Hasselhoff offered him the role of his son. Bloom said : "I was approached by David in Los Angeles. He'd heard I was a big fan of the old show and said, 'We're doing a movie version and I'd love you to play my son in it.' "I replied, 'Er, well, that sounds great but you'd need to speak to my manager about it.' "I used to watch Knight Rider when I was eight but I didn't like it more than any other series. My favourites were THE FALL GUY and THE A-TEAM."

August 11, 2006 - Season 4 released in October 2006. The official artwork for Season 4 has been released today. Release date has been set for October 2006. What will happen after that is unknown.

Oktober 25, 2005 - Season 3 released in January 2006. The official artwork for Season 3 has been released today. The releasedate for America has been set on January 31, 2006. The rest of the world should follow shortly after that.

The only extra that has been announced for this season is an episode from the 4th Season. Which episode it will be is currently unknown.

Running just under 18 hours, this set has 21 episodes, including the double-length season opener "Knight of the Drones". Other hot episodes this season were "K.I.T.T. vs. K.A.R.R.", "Knight In Disgrace" and "Junk Yard Dog". Guests included the NFL's Jim Brown, plus Jared Martin, Terri Treas, Jean Hasselhoff, Jason Bateman, Alan Oppenheimer, Christopher McDonald, James Cromwell, Randi Brooks, Judy Landers, and Richard Herd.

Oktober 21, 2005 - The release of Season 3 has been set on January 31, 2006 for America. The rest of the world should follow shortly after that, we think.

Oktober 19, 2005 - As we announced earlier, Season 3 has been delayed for yet unknown reasons. Universal America has now given a release date of January 2006. The rest of the world should follow shortly after that. Season 4 is still unknown for the moment.

September 18, 2005 - Season 2 has only just been released in Europe and already we have the latest news on Season 3 and 4. Season 3 is still up for release on November 10 in Europe. In America and the UK things are a bit unclear. Some of our sources claim December 6 for America, while others say March 6, 2006 or November 14, 2005 for the UK. Which it will b, we don't know at the moment.
There is no releasedate for Season 4 as yet, but Universal USA has already told us "there will definitely be extras for Season 4 as it was the last Season of Knight Rider."

As far as the upcoming Knight Rider movie is concerned, a brandnew director has been contracted. Earlier information made us think the movie would never happen, but this points to the fact that they are still working on it.

September 11, 2005 - Knight Rider NL launches its official flyer. This flyer, especially designed for us by Steven Smits, will be used to promote the site in various ways and in several occasions. Feel free to print it and use it to promote the site. For the moment it is available on the frontpage, but will be moved to downloads after a short time.

September 1, 2005 - Season 2 has been released in Europe. Rumour has it the release has been delayed because of some flaws in the DVD menu that had to be corrected before release. So far we haven't been able to confirm this.

August 7, 2005 - Although set for release in the end of July 2005, the Second Knight Rider Season has been pushed back to september for reasons yet unknown tot us. Season 3 was set for release in November 2005, but we expect this to be put back also. More information as soon as available.

August 7, 2005 - With the first meeting barely over, the second one is already coming. Somewhere in September 2005, Knight Central is organising the Season 2 DVD release party. Again we will be in the wonderful city of Leiden and hope to have a good time with all fans. More information will be available soon.

June 24, 2005 - KITT, co-star of "Knight Rider" tops car poll. KITT, the souped-up Pontiac Trans-Am that vied with actor David Hasselhoff for the limelight in the 1980s television series "Knight Rider," was judged Britain's favourite customised car by MTV viewers on Friday. The low-slung, blacked-out KITT (Knight Industries Two Thousand) beat the Batmobile into second place and left James Bond's Aston Martin DB5 eating its dust in third. "KITT and I are honoured and humbled by this award ... for a car over 23-years-old to still have enough grip in its tyres to stay on top, shows we really were ahead of our time," Hasselhoff, who played Michael Knight in the series, said in a statement. The MTV survey asked viewers to vote on the contenders' "pimp" appeal or the quality of add-on gadgets and overall desirability. KITT and Hasselhoff entertained millions of children in the 1980s who tuned in to watch the antics of a car that could travel at 300 mph and leap 50 foot in the air. The car could also talk and boasted its own personality -- slightly haughty, sometimes peevish, but always protective of Hasselhoff. MTV said 2,100 people responded to its online poll which was introduced to mark the launch later this month of "Pimp My Ride UK", a show which sees cars transformed into "blinging pimp mobiles". The programme, which attracted over nine million viewers last year, will be presented by hip hop DJ Tim Westwood. Among other cars rated was the De Lorean of "Back To The Future" at number four, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang at number five and Del Boy Trotter's Reliant Robin from "Only Fools And Horses" at six.

April 30, 2005 - Once again we have received an e-mail from Stu Philips. The upcoming Knight Rider Soundtrack is in the production stage at this moment. The project is taking a bit longer than expected as the engineer that would do the project was busy on other projects. The Soundtrack should now be available around the end of June. There will be a booklet with notes about each show and each track. Plus pictures from the shows, and other little surprises. It is going to be a very special package. April 2, 2005 - We received an e-mail with some exciting news by Stu Philips. A new cd with Knight Rider Soundtrack music should be available around Mid May. Definitive dates should be available at the end of April and will ofcourse be posted here. Also the three track tapes from the original sessions have been located and are being remixed as we speak. The 24 track version of the main and end title are also available and should be great when they are finished. More news as it comes available. February 16, 2005 - Starting immediately we have a new teammember for Team Knight Rider NL. His name is Johan van Helden, also known as hakkersszz on the forum. He will be helping us out as moderator, html and php specialist. We are convinced he will be a worthy member of the team.

February 13, 2005 - David Hasselhoff is currently working on his official biography. It will be revealatory, heart-warming and fun and will follow David's acting career from a childhood role in "Peter Pan" to his highly acclaimed performance as Billy Flynn in the musical "Chicago" on the London stage in 2004. The book will contain a wealth of inside stories, including the untold stories of his first marriage, his life as a soap star on daytime TV, his adventures on "Knight Rider" and "Baywatch" and his amazing singing career which has notched up worldwide sales in excess of nine million records. February 13, 2005 - More news on Season 2! This just came in from Knight Rider Online.

• The discs will contain no extra content. The only items that one might call additional is the previews for each episode will be before each episode. Futher seasons probably wont have extras either, but thats still up in the air, dependant on sales.
• Each episode will now have a chapter break after the opening credits. This will please those of you who were forced to watch the opening for every episode in Season 1
• The packaging has been changed from a "Digipak" style (what they used in Season 1, to three Slim Snapper Cases. Each case will contain artwork that also lists what episodes are on the disc inside.
• The season 2 box sets of A Team and Magnium PI will contain a Knight Rider episode as a bonus. No bonus episodes from any other series will be on the Knight Rider set.
• All 21 episodes will be on three double sided DVDs. The running time on each disc will be 6 hours and 31 minutes.
• It is possible that Sci-Fi Channel will air a marathon around the time of the Season 2 release to help promote the discs

December 30, 2004 - Knight Rider NL is attempting to start a Knight Rider Fanclub. At the moment there aren't any fanclubs that we know off. We have found some things on the net, but they are either dead or very outdated. We are planning on a special website, a fan magazine every 3 or 4 months, a newsletter and who knows, maybe even a meeting. We have already had positive reactions from Stu Philips and Don Peake, the composers of the Knight Rider tune and several songs used in the show. All developments and news will be published here, so check back regularly.

December 30, 2004 - Knight Rider NL is glad to announce a new team member. Starting this week, we have a new moderator on the forum. His name is Marc Petersson, also known as Marc Knight. He will moderate the Fan Club Section of the Forum.

November 3, 2004 - Our forum has been down for a few days due to technical problems. However things are sorted out now and everything should be working fine again, with great thanks to our technical man Nick Pledge. On the down side however, we were unable to save the database for the forum, so all messages and members are gone. We ask all our members to register again so we can get things going again as soon as possible.
